Paxton believes healthy soils grow healthy vines and better wine. David Paxton has worked McLaren Vale terroirs since the 1970s and converted the estate to certified organic and biodynamic farming.

Six vineyards include plantings from 1868, among the oldest Shiraz vines in the region. Only estate fruit is used. Winemaker Ashleigh Seymour returned from a decade in Tuscany to lead with a clean sustainable vision. The style is fragrant, textural and alive, whether Graciano, Sangiovese or old vine Shiraz. Power sits alongside finesse, and place is always front and centre.
