Vignobles André Lurton

Bordeaux, France

Influential Bordeaux family producing expressive wines with sustainable focus, guided by Jacques Lurton and Mathilde de Caix-Lurton.

Partnering with Vignobles André Lurton was a watershed moment for us, marking our first Bordeaux agency with an influential and storied family.

The Lurton name carries immense weight in the Gironde. The eponymous André was a colossal figure on the Right Bank, inheriting Château Bonnet in 1953 and growing the holdings from 30 to 600 hectares while adding five further estates. He was instrumental in the creation of the Pessac-Léognan appellation.

Today, the business is run by André’s son, Jacques Lurton (President), and his niece Mathilde de Caix Lurton (Managing Director).

Together, they drive the business forward, using their international expertise to navigate climate and market challenges while bringing social and environmental sustainability to the top of the agenda.

The wines reflect clear origin, thoughtful winemaking, and the family’s long view of Bordeaux. Not afraid of innovation, they also explore new frontiers with ranges such as Bla Bla and Oh Oui! 0%.
